Hey guys, I\u2019m\u00a0Paul Kolodziej<\/strong>, a 21-year-old student from Hamburg (Germany), and I\u2019m thrilled to finally start this blog and share my story with you. Traveling has always been a huge part of my life, and now I\u2019m about to embark on one of my biggest adventures yet: a\u00a0semester abroad at UCLA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But before we dive into that, let me take you back to where this love for travel all started.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Where It All Began<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

Growing up near Hamburg, with roots in L\u00fcbeck, I always had this curiosity about the world beyond. That curiosity turned into a full-blown passion when I finished high school and decided to take a\u00a0<\/span>gap year<\/strong>. For nine months, I lived in some of the most incredible cities in the world \u2014<\/span>\u00a0San Francisco<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>New York<\/strong>, and\u00a0<\/span>Rome<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 spending three months in each. It was an unforgettable experience that opened my eyes to different cultures, languages, and ways of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But it didn\u2019t stop there. After my gap year, I found a way to combine my love for travel with work. I spent\u00a0three weeks in Malta<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0four weeks in Oxford<\/strong>\u00a0as a\u00a0course leader<\/strong>\u00a0for a student language trip. It was one of those experiences that let me see travel from a new angle \u2014 helping others explore the world and grow while doing it myself. The joy of being in new places and guiding students through their journeys only deepened my passion for exploring.<\/p>\n

My Next Big Adventure: Semester Abroad at UCLA<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

Now, the next chapter of my travel story begins in\u00a0Los Angeles<\/strong>. I\u2019ll be studying business-related courses at\u00a0UCLA<\/strong>\u00a0for the fall semester. As exciting as that sounds, the process of getting here wasn\u2019t as simple as packing a bag and hopping on a plane. The visa process, apartment hunting, and preparing for life in a completely new city had their challenges, but I\u2019ll get into that in more detail in future posts.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m absolutely thrilled to see what\u00a0Los Angeles<\/strong> has to offer \u2014 whether it\u2019s exploring the city, making new friends, or experiencing life on the West Coast. I\u2019ve been to the U.S. before, but this time is different. Living and studying in LA is going to be a whole new experience, and I can already feel this experience will be unforgettable. I can\u2019t wait to share every step of the journey with you.<\/p>\n

From Stage to Street: Music & More Than Just Travel<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

While travel is a huge part of my life, there\u2019s something else that\u2019s equally important to me \u2014\u00a0music<\/strong>. It\u2019s a passion that\u2019s always been with me, and honestly, traveling just fuels that fire even more. There\u2019s something about being in new places, hearing different sounds, and meeting people from all over the world that really inspires my music.<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a little teaser \u2014 I\u2019m working on something music-related that I\u2019m really excited about, but I\u2019ll keep the details under wraps for now. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n
